There is actually no shadow; this was the only way I could put a screenshot together. There is no mention of ‘Linux’ on it for those who prefer things subtle. And it’s not in XML, so it may take a little tweaking. I encourage comments or ratings from you, especially on the speed of it on newer machines out there (does it even reach the end?). The link is to a 16M zip file; the first version is smaller and lighter if you prefer. Credit goes to these fine folk:

Wow, i’ve done it! my first bootsplash!
Actualy, it’s a whole set of ootsplashes for 1280×1024, 1024×768 and 800×600 screen resolutions!
Hope you’ll like it.

i don’t know how to make a screenshot of a bootsplash, so just hang a scaled down copy of the BG image in the preview.

Please, give me your feedback.

I haven’t tested it yet, because i’ve made it in Photoshop (i’m not so good at GIMP yet), so… I just followed all the examples i could find and created this one. And i don’t know how to make a screenshot of a bootsplash, so just hang a scaled down copy of the BG image in the preview.

I’m glad to say, that my SplashyCreator v1.0beta1 finally generates working themes

At the upper left corner is a small progressbar.

Since there are only Black, Grey and White used in the picture, this theme looks high-quality (Splashy is limited to 16 Colors)

Background found once ago, licensed as GPL, dunno the Author.
